COVID-19 protocol
1. No walk-in patients are to be accepted at this time
2. Patients who booked online will be contacted via phone prior to their appointment and COVID-19 screening will be conducted (see information below)
3. 15 minutes will be allocated to sanitization procedures between patients
4. Patients will be directed to wait outside the main doors. The door is to be LOCKED between patients. Waiting rooms are NOT to be used
5. Patients must come alone to appointments. If someone has accompanied them, that individual is NOT allowed in the clinic and must wait for them outside the clinic. Some exceptions will be made: patient who is a minor and requires adult to be present or patient who need translator
6. Patients are be encouraged to bring their own masks to their appointment.
All patients, visitors and staff must answer NO to ALL the following questions to be allowed at the clinic:
1. Did the person have close contact with anyone with acute respiratory Illness or travelled outside of Ontario in the past 14 days?
2. Does the person have a confirmed case of COVID-19 or had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
3. Does the person have any of the following symptoms:
•Fever
•New onset of cough
•Worsening chronic cough
•Shortness of breath
•Difficulty breathing
•Sore throat
•Difficulty swallowing
•Decrease or loss of sense of taste or smell • Chills
• Headaches
•Unexplained fatigue/malaise/muscle aches (myalgias) •Nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain
•Pink eye (conjunctivitis)
•Runny nose/nasal congestion without other known cause
4. If the person is 70 years of age or older, are they experiencing any of the following symptoms: delirium, unexplained or increased number of falls, acute functional decline, or worsening of chronic conditions?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, you are advised to:
• not attend in person at the office for at least 14 days;
• complete the Ontario Government’s self-assessment; and
• contact an appropriate authority such as their family physician, local medical officer of health or Telehealth Ontario.
