Dr. Anna Dowgialo, BSc, DC
Dr. Anna Dowgialo received Doctor of Chiropractic Degree with Clinic Honours from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Prior to that she graduated from York University with Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. She also completed medical acupuncture training at McMaster University. When managing injuries she incorporates multiple strategies including joint mobilizations and manipulations, soft tissue therapy, individualized rehabilitation program, K-Taping, pain modalities, shockwave therapy as well as health education. She focuses not only on the symptoms but also on correcting the cause of the problem. Dr. Dowgialo is passionate about physical activity, from strength training to hiking and understands the importance of helping you get back to your favourite activities.
With over 20 years of healthcare experience from various healthcare fields and practices, Helena is confident that she can provide excellent massage therapy services for her clients. She has been practising as an RMT in Alberta since 2001. After relocating to Ontario, she met all of the requirements to become a member of CMTO in good standards. She has gained a great amount of knowledge in the management and treatment of various types of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders, using Swedish massage therapy techniques, including soft tissue manipulation, hydrotherapy, remedial exercise and developing various client self-care programs. She has completed additional training in massage cupping, reflexology, hot stone therapy, pediatric Cranio-Sacral therapy, nerve mobilization, remedial exercise for the treatment of postural dysfunction. Helena was introduced to massage therapy early in her life when she was on the national team of track and field in Slovakia. She went through her own injuries and began to understand the importance and benefits of massage therapy. She continues an active lifestyle, taking part in world masters games, spartan races, and daily exercise.
Stefana Rusk, Registered Massage Therapist
Stefana is a graduate from York University, Humber College, and Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. She is a member, in good standing, with CMTO, and is a member of RMTAO. Stefana brings with her 17 years of experience working in the medical devices and skincare industry. She is excited to add massage therapy to her credentials and is looking forward to helping her clients in a holistic manner. Stefana’s style of massage is a blend of therapeutic and relaxation massage. She believes that General Swedish Massage techniques are highly beneficial in the treatment of stress and anxiety. Fascial work, trigger point therapy and deep pressure techniques are also beneficial in helping with targeted treatments. Stefana also completed the Trimesters Massage Therapy Education program for perinatal massage. She enjoys working with all age groups including children and teens. Her hobbies include hiking, swimming and spending time at the cottage. She is an animal lover and owns a dog and two cats.
